Atlantis

600 burning memorial candles shaped into a huge Star of David were set floating on the surface of the water, 100 memorial candles lit the entrance leading to the interior, 200 torches with blue light were distributed to the audience, the concert Peace Meditation by the Poznań University Choir conducted by Jacek Sykulski. 

This event was a part of the 7th Day of Judaism. The synagogue (built in 1907) was used as a house of worship until 1939. In 1942 it was turned into a swimming pool by the Nazis. In 2011 the swimming pool was closed. Read more about this building and its history on the subpage Synagogue.

Atlantyda

Atlantyda, 2004, performance i instalacja na pływalni w dawnym budynku synagogi w Poznaniu. 

600 niebieskich zniczy ułożonych w gwiazdę Dawida na wodzie, 100 zniczy prowadzących do wnętrza, 200 latarek z niebieskim światłem rozdanych publiczności, Medytacja o pokoju – występ Chóru Akademickiego pod dyr. Jacka Sykulskiego.

Wydarzenie było częścią programu obchodów VII Dnia Judaizmu. Budynek synagogi powstał w 1907. Do 1939 roku służył jako dom modlitwy. W 1942 roku niemieccy naziści urządzili w nim pływalnię. Była czynna do 2011 roku. Więcej o budynku synagogi na podstronie Synagogue.
